IP.MODE

Description

This parameter is used to determine how the drive acquires an IP address for service port communication.

IP Mode Mode of Acquiring IP Address
1 Fixed IP Address: A static IP address is defined by the value set using IP.ADDRESS.
2
(default)
DHCP/Auto IP: Acquires a dynamic IP address using DHCP or Auto IP. If a DHCP server is not available, the drive uses Auto IP to acquire an available IP address.

Recovering communications with a drive on an unreachable IP address

AKD2G drives can be recovered using the display's TCP/IP option. Instructions on how to configure TCP/IP on the drive using the display can be found in AKD2G TCP/IP Configuration.
